Reception & Nursery School Tours and Visiting the School

If you are considering joining our school and have a child in Reception or Nursery, we hold weekly tours for prospective parents every Friday at 11am.

If you are an in-year admission, we would love to have you visit after a formal offer of a place at the school has been given from Ealing Council.

Joining Havelock Nursery

Our Nursery at Havelock offers a 39 place AM and 39 place PM provision for 3- and 4-year-old children from 8.45am. We offer 15 hours free Early Years education for all 3- and 4-year-olds. 30-hour education is also available if you meet the criteria.

The sessions are as follows

  • Morning sessions: 8.45am -11.45am
  • Afternoon sessions: 12.30pm – 3.30pm

Please note that admission to our nursery class does not guarantee admission to our reception class. You will need to apply to Ealing for this. See above.

All admissions to Havelock Nursery are managed by the school and you can contact us using the details below:

30 hours free Early Years education

Ealing follows the government scheme that will offer additional childcare support for 3 and 4-year-olds who meet specific criteria based on family income and working parents. Click here to complete an application for 30 hours.

Joining Reception

At Havelock we cater for up to 60 reception children who turn 5 years old between 1st September to 31st August. The children are organised into two classes of 30 pupils each with their own qualified teacher and Teaching Assistants to lead them in their learning.

In-year admissions and oversubscription information can also be found in this guide.

    Waiting lists

Vacancies are filled from the waiting list using the admissions criteria.

If you want to register your child for a nursery place at Havelock, you need to complete a waiting list form when your child is 2 years old. This is available from the school office. No further documents are required at this point.

    Admissions Criteria

Ealing Council looks after the admissions to Havelock Primary School from Reception to Year 6. Parents/Carers who want their child to join Havelock must contact Ealing Council to apply for a place at the school.
