It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to Havelock Primary School’s website.

Havelock is a well-established school, serving a diverse community in Southall, in the London Borough of Ealing and has done so for over 40 years. 

We work hard as a team to deliver the best possible outcomes for our children. As a Gold UNICEF Rights Respecting School, we champion the rights of children, to ensure that pupil voice underpins life at our school.

In September 2021 we opened, our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) for pupils with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and speech language and communication needs (SLCN). The Unit has 4 classes for 36 primary aged pupils from Reception to year 6.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum where children are encouraged to be inquisitive, creative thinkers. In 2019 we began to review the whole of our curriculum, starting with the core subjects. We wanted to ensure that learning was challenging, the curriculum was diverse and it was all linked, where possible, with local history. Throughout each school year, we regularly evaluate our curriculum to ensure it has the best impact for our children and is a true reflection of our pupils, families and staff.

There are two key elements that run in parallel and complement our curriculum. The first is our ‘Rainbow’ curriculum, supporting the well-being of our pupils. The second is our learning to learn model, called the 5 Rs. Both these approaches ensure that our pupils are responsible and resilient learners.
